uAvionix Corporation – a leading provider of communications, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) solutions for manned and unmanned aircraft is pleased to announce the recent ForeFlight Europe release supports SkyEcho 2 FLARM receive functionality. SkyEcho 2  is  the newest version of the uAvionix popular CAP1391 SkyEcho Electronic Conspicuity (EC) ADS-B IN and OUT solution for United Kingdom(UK) VFR aircraft.  SkyEcho 2 can be configured as an ADS-B OUT solution in the UK, or as an ADS-B IN and FLARM receiver only for use elsewhere in the European Union (EU).

ForeFlight 11.5 now offers pilots flying in Europe the option to display FLARM traffic data from the SkyEcho 2 when FLARM traffic appears on ForeFlight’s map just like ADS-B traffic, with basic information about each traffic target.  In order to receive and display FLARM traffic, users must upgrade to ForeFlight 11.5, purchase a FLARM license from ForeFlight, and configure the SkyEcho 2 to enable FLARM reception.
