My echo no longer sees my transponder
The echo requires a mode C transponder in order to work. If you do have a mode C transponder, please try adjusting the transponder threshold.
Please follow the instructions on how to adjust the monitor threshold.
I can no longer find the echo wifi when doing a wifi search
Your echo wifi may have failed. If you can peer inside the echo through the spaces around where the power plug goes in when the echo is powered on. You should not see a steady blue light. If you do then the wifi has failed.
My echo is constantly disconnecting from my iPad and Foreflight
Make sure you have the latest version of the App.
Your iPad may be switching to a WIFI other that the echo WIFI. Please be sure that any other devices, cellphones etc. have hotspots turned off and set the iPad WIFI to “ask for permission” to join a network.
If this does not help, please contact our customer support.
Why am I not always seen by others when flying?
The ADS-B system is a ground based system. You may not be in range of a ground station. You may Google ADS-B Towers to bring up a map of where these stations are located.
My echoUAT will not accept the Device 2 software when updating for the ALT addition.
Please look at the face of your echoUAT. There are either 2 or 3 very small holes below the “C” in echo about 1/4″ from the bottom edge of the echo, just above and slightly to the right of the antenna coax connector. If there are 3 holes the chipset it has cannot be field updated, it must be returned to manufacturing to be updated. Please contact uAvionix support for a RMA before sending the unit in.

Why does my echo have a red flashing light?
The echo flashes red once per second as it transmits ADS-B information. The echo green light will flash randomly as it receives ADS-B information.

Can the output of the skyFYX-ext be bifurcated for connection to the AV-30-C?
No, the skyFYX and skyFYX-ext may not be shared with the AV-30-C and it needs to be noted that the AV-30-C requires a GPS input from a GPS navigator, not raw GPS data such as the skyFYX and skyFYx-ext output.
