AV-30 Update Tool: UAV-1005199-001-AvUpdate-2_0_2-signed.exe
Version History:
Version 3.0.1, released 1/8/2025, included the following:
- Added transponder IDENT button to non-reversionary pages
- Improved attitude stability. Note: gyro Cal required; see section 9.8
- Fixed bug that could cause configuration to reset to defaults
- Swapped position of brightness adjust menu buttons for UI consistency
- Changed HDG BUG push-set menu label to TRK BUG when referenced to GPS track
- Fixed bug when performing multipoint airspeed trim in MPH or KPH
- Improved rounding of transponder pressure altitude display
- Improved error handling of improperly configured serial ports
Version 3.0.0, released 7/15/2024, included the following:
- Add rate of turn and standard rate bank angle indicators.
- Add ability to disable unneeded pages to installation menu.
- Add ability to connect an AV-Link directly to AV-HSI, providing traffic and updates to all connected AV-30s. Note: to update an AV-30 from an AV-HSI requires this software to be installed directly into the AV-30 first. Future AV-30 releases will be able to use this shared update feature.
- Add VSI overlay onto MFD.
- Add rate of climb (ft/nm) overlay.
- Add max-G and min-G textual overlays. Added max and min indicators to G-Load graphical overlay. Added reset to Setup menu.
- Add ability to connect NMEA GPS directly to AV-HSI and serve to all connected AV-30s.
- Add low and high voltage indication to alert pilot of charging system problem.
- Fix waypoint drawing bugs in DG arc view when used with Garmin 296/396/496 or Apollo GX, and Avidyne IFD series GPS.
- Fix waypoint drawing to display active (magenta) segment on top of overlapping route segments.
- Improve AHRS performance in turbulent flight.
- Add simulated traffic to MFD demo mode.
- Add OFF option for Set Altitude to improve interaction with Aerocruze autopilot.
- Add GPS “MSG” annunciator for ARINC 429 navigators connected with AV-HSI.
- Add squawk overlay and push-set option to CDI mode.
- Improve AV-MAG calibration accuracy.
- Update overlay color scheme in Legacy UI style so GPS-derived data is magenta.
- Update Squawk entry timeout behavior. Squawk will set if pressing done or letting the menu timeout.
- Make font size and style consistent for no data “—” indications in overlays.
- Long-hold of center knob when OBS set is active will sync to current bearing across all AV-30 using AV-HSI.
- Add navigation mode annunciation to bottom of DG arc pages.
Version 2.4.1, released 12/05/2023, included the following:
- Added support for AV-APA (Analog Port Adapter) to provide heading references to S-TEC 20/30/40/50 autopilots
- Improved attitude indication robustness with incorporation of additional air data (speed assist)
- Improved transponder interface
- Reduced button clicks necessary to change squawk
- Squawk now available as an overlay on all pages, not just transponder control page
- Added full flight plans to the DG ARC view from both Aviation and NMEA serial formats
- Added GPS Rose, DG HSI, and DG ARC page options to DG
- Added Carbon Monoxide display and alert when connected to Sentry through AV-Link
- Added additional units of measure
- Kilometers per Hour (kph)
- Hectopascals (hPA)
- Added quick swap between local (QNH) and standard (SPS) altimeter settings
- Added additional AV-MAG installation orientations
- Increased Density Altitude range below -1000 ft
- Added align and other flags to DG
- Added multi-point IAS trim
