FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the skySensor work with my Garmin Pilot?
The skySensor transmits ADS-B via GDL90. If your EFB supports GDL90, then yes. We can not connect to Android devices.
Can both the red and yellow wires of the skySensor be connected together?
It is recommend that they NOT be wired together. The red wire is for the power of the unit and the yellow is for the strobe. The Navigation lights are always in use where the strobe may need to be turned off when the nav lights need to stay on. Make sure that the yellow wire is only connected to 12 or 24V power. High power strobe pack will destroy the skySensor.
Why does my NAV light not always work on my skySensor?
Please insure that your battery is fully charged, if the voltage drops below 11.3 VDC the light may not work.
How can I stop strobe interference from by skySensor?
Try adjusting comm squelch, or adding a ferrite core suppression devices, such as the Aircraft Spruce p/n 11-08064
How do I update my skySensor?
Please follow the Service Bulletin for the skySensor EXP WiFi and ADS-B Update. If you update to the TSO version you will be locked out and require a password. You will need to contact support with the MAC address of the skySensor so we can generate a password.
