uAvionix Corporation – a leading provider of communications, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) solutions for manned and unmanned aircraft – announced today its participation in three of the awarded UAS Integration Pilot Programs (IPP).
On Wednesday, May 9, the US Department of Transportation(DOT) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced ten selected state, local, and tribal governments partnering with private industry to accelerate safe UAS integration. uAvionix is pleased to announce direct participation with three of the awardees as follows:
- Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma
- Kansas Department of Transportation
- North Dakota Department of Transportation
uAvionix’s focus for the IPP leads will range from its traditional airborne ADS-B and transponder avionics to ground-based low-altitude surveillance, DroneAware™ UAS remote identification solutions, and Ripple™ Passive Traffic Awareness system for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Detect and Avoid (DAA) applications within controlled airspace.
