FAQs

Knowledge Base

What types of drones can Trakr be installed on?

Any UAS platform with available space and a USB-C port or internal battery access. Trakr’s negligible SWaP makes it suitable for multi-rotor, fixed-wing, and VTOL aircraft.

Does Trakr satisfy Remote ID or FAA BVLOS requirements?

Trakr is not a public Remote ID solution but is designed to support enterprise BVLOS compliance and internal tracking via private networks, ideal for waivered ops.

How do I mount Trakr on my drone?

Trakr installs with provided adhesive tape or Velcro and connects via USB-C or runs on its internal battery (up to 90 minutes).

Does the drone need internet access to transmit its position?

No. Trakr broadcasts via ISM band to TrakrStations, which then forward the data to the cloud. No LTE on the drone is required.
