One broadcast.
Two audiences.

VTU-20 broadcasts ADS-B Out once. The tower sees it on surface surveillance; the flight deck sees it via ADS-B In.

Surveillance

FlightLine SAI — or the FAA's ASDE-X / ASSC — shows every equipped aircraft and vehicle to controllers, by callsign.

ForeFlight & Garmin

Pilots see and are alerted to your vehicle on their EFB — fed by uAvionix Sentry, the receiver we build for ForeFlight. 150k+ aircraft equipped; ADS-B In is linked to an 89% lower fatal-accident likelihood.

The Product

Built for the movement area

A compact, all-in-one VMAT — 20 W UAT on 978 MHz, certified internal GPS, integrated antennas, in a rugged IP67 enclosure.

Certified ADS-B out

20 W UAT on 978 MHz broadcasts identity, surface position and status — the message set surveillance is built on.

Internal certified GPS

A TSO-C145e Class B1 source is built in, so every broadcast is accurate enough for the tower to trust.

Magnetic or permanent

Magnetic base mounts in minutes with no vehicle modification; reuse it across seasonal vehicles.

Squitter maps

FAA-approved maps enable and disable transmission by location — on-field it talks, off-field it stays quiet.

In-cab control

A simple in-cab panel shows status and gives manual on/off. Vehicle ID and ICAO ID are field-configurable.

Rugged, all-weather

IP67-rated, −45 to +80 °C, 9–32 V DC — built for plows, ARFF and airfield trucks.

Federal Funding

The FAA is funding
vehicle visibility

Two FAA actions moved VMATs from "nice to have" to funded infrastructure — and VTU-20 is written to their spec. Program Guidance Letter 24-01 and CertAlert 25-01 make VMATs eligible for AIP funding at ASDE-X, ASSC and SAI airports.
